The Sports Intelligence Research Institute (IPIE)
Resumo
The Sports Intelligence Research Institute (IPIE) has a specific system for mapping athletes, sports organizations, infrastructure, management and governance of sport and para-sport in public and private organizations. The IPIE database has been under development since 2013 and includes data related to the Bolsa-Atleta program, the National Training Network, the Brazilian School Games, the Management, Governance and Infrastructure of Municipalities in Brazil, and the Financing and Governance of sports entities. IPIE is currently developing the project “Monitoring Brazilian Sport: Information and Indicators”, looking at the national sports system from the perspective of public and private entities, seeking to collect, systematize and analyse data in order to disseminate knowledge to help managers make decisions. In partnership with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, through the CNPQ, which aims to serve sports administration bodies at municipal, state and federal levels and private entities such as confederations, federations, clubs, committees and the third sector, as a way of systematizing data on Brazilian sports to assist managers in decision-making, based on article 13 of Law n°14.597/23, which creates the National Sports Information and Indicators System (SNIIE). The project works with data collection and systematization, for the production of reports and analyses to support sports managers. It also develops instructional and guiding materials, in addition to specific studies on management, governance and public policies, working to coordinate sports in the country.
